Quick Start
1. Connect & Load Up
Open the Kaos City app and connect your wallet on the Base network.
Make sure you have:
Some USDC on Base (to play),
A little ETH on Base (for gas fees).
Inside the game, USDC is your entry ticket. You deposit it once and manage everything else with our in-game currency, KAO.
2. Get Your First Character
Use your balance to get KAO.
Buy a character egg.
Pay a small fee in KAO to open the egg and reveal your fighter.
When the egg opens, the game rolls a random rarity (from 1 to 6). Higher rarity = higher potential rewards in battles.
3. Build Your Squad (Roster)
You can own as many characters as you want.
Your roster is the active team of up to 4 characters you fight with.
Add characters to your roster and let them regenerate stamina over time.
If you swap a character out of your roster, it will be locked for 48 hours (no selling, no breeding, no healing during that period).
4. Click, Battle, Earn KAO
Now the fun part:
Pick a character from your roster.
Choose an enemy with the win chance you prefer:
Safer options (e.g. 90% win rate),
Or riskier ones (down to 30%).
Each battle:
Spends some stamina,
Can reward you with KAO when you win,
And may damage your character when you lose.
Lose a fight? Your character loses health. You can heal them by spending KAO, which is permanently burned from the system.
5. Grow or Cash Out — Your Choice
As you play, you decide how to use your KAO:
Grow your power
Buy more eggs,
Open new characters,
Use breeding: combine 3 characters of the same rarity to get 1 guaranteed character of the next rarity tier.
Or step out
Convert your KAO back to USDC through the Kaos City Vault,
A small 3% fee is taken on withdrawals to support the platform,
The rest goes straight to your wallet as USDC on Base.
