KAO Economy & USDC Vault
Kaos City has a simple, transparent economy built around two tokens:
USDC on Base – the only token you can deposit and withdraw.
KAO – the in-game currency you earn, spend and burn while playing.
This page explains how value flows through the game in a way that both players and crypto users can understand.
The two main tokens
USDC on Base
Stablecoin used to enter and exit the game.
You deposit USDC from your wallet into the Kaos City Vault.
When you want to leave or take profit, you withdraw USDC back to your wallet.
Only the official USDC on Base contract is supported:
USDC (Base): 0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913
KAO – the in-game currency
Inside the game, almost everything runs on KAO:
You use KAO to:
buy eggs,
open eggs,
heal characters,
pay breeding fees.
You earn KAO when your characters win battles.
At launch, the internal reference rate is:
2 KAO : 1 USDC (So 60 KAO ≈ 30 USD, 2 KAO ≈ 1 USD, etc.)
This is used to price eggs and certain actions, and may evolve as the game economy grows.
The Kaos City Vault
The Vault is the contract that connects your wallet balance and the in-game economy.
Vault contract:
Kaos City Vault: 0x052e44B1674eC460ec323F4c9C0D8c6cFB5a7246
What it does:
Accepts USDC deposits from your wallet on Base.
Tracks your in-game balance so you can play using KAO.
Lets you withdraw USDC when you convert KAO back out of the game.
Applies a small platform fee on withdrawals.
You can think of the Vault as your bridge between the game and your real wallet.
Where KAO comes from (rewards)
KAO is mainly created in one way:
Battles: When your characters fight and win, you earn KAO based on:
the enemy type and win chance (90%, 70%, 50%, 30%), and
your character’s rarity multiplier.
Over time, the game distributes KAO to active players as they engage with the battle system.
Where KAO goes (burn & fees)
To keep the system from turning into pure inflation, Kaos City uses sinks that permanently remove KAO from circulation.
These actions are 100% burn (all the KAO spent is destroyed):
Buying eggs – when you get new egg(s) for characters.
Opening eggs – paying the opening fee.
Breeding – combining 3 characters of the same rarity into a higher rarity (fee depends on rarity).
Healing – restoring your characters’ health after tough battles.
This creates a balance:
Rewards put KAO into players’ hands.
Game actions (eggs, breeding, healing) burn KAO back out of the system.
The goal is to make Kaos City feel like a real game economy, not just a faucet.
The 3% withdrawal fee
When you decide to take value out of the game and go back to USDC, the Vault applies a 3% fee on the USDC you withdraw.
Here’s how it works:
You choose how much KAO to convert back to USDC.
The Vault calculates the USDC amount.
A 3% fee is taken from that USDC.
You receive the remaining 97% in your wallet.
Example:
You convert KAO equivalent to 5 USDC.
The fee is 3% of 5 USDC = 0.15 USDC.
You receive 4.85 USDC.
The 0.15 USDC stays in the platform treasury.
This fee is how Kaos City funds:
server and infrastructure costs,
ongoing development,
liquidity and future expansions.
